The green fields around the town were turning fast into muddy quagmires. The higher risk of landslides meant most large roads in and out of the mountains were closed, which prompted the more adventurous folk to try their hands at some of the alpine walking tracks.
This was fine by him, because it meant that business was booming for GoOutside. He was just about out of most sets of running shoes and hiking maps.
